The German manager made just one change to the Barcelona line-up that beat Young Boys 3-0 in the Champions League last week as he introduced Hector Fort in the right-back position in place of Kounde on Sunday. It was the first time that the French defender had been left out of the starting XI all season.

While many believed that Kounde has been given a much-needed break, in reality, Flick decided to drop the player on disciplinary grounds, according to. The defender reportedly did not turn up for their pre-game team meeting on time, which led to his punishment on the matchday. The former Bayern Munich coach has been very particular about punctuality and has reportedly warned several players in the squad regarding maintaining discipline.
