With the January transfer window now closed, football fans are assessing the business that their respective clubs have carried out.
Leeds United signed seven new players last month in the hope of pushing their bid for Premier League promotion.
In terms of outgoings, one player had his contract terminated after failing to make an impression on the first team.
Eoghan Stokes has left Elland Road after five-and-a-half-year spell at the Yorkshire outfit.
The 21-year-old joined the Whites’ academy in 2012 and eventually made his debut in August last year, but that was his only outing in the first team.
The club, as well as the player, have decided that now is best for the pair to cut ties.
In a statement released on the club’s official website, Leeds claimed that the termination was “mutual”.
After the news was announced on Twitter, the supporters gave their take on Stokes’s departure, with some questioning the club’s youth development strategy.
