Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has been doing his bit to convince Bryan Mbeumo to make the switch to Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves this summer and are also hoping to add Mbeumo from Brentford. According to the , Onana "has advised" Mbeumo to join Manchester United despite interest from Tottenham. The report adds that the Red Devils "have a long history" of using national team camps to try and sway potential new signings.

Onana and Mbeumo are international team-mates with Cameroon and United may be hoping that relationship can help convince the Brentford ace to head to Old Trafford rather than link up with Thomas Frank at Spurs. United do have other targets if they miss out on Mbeumo, with Bournemouth's Semenyo and Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze also believed to be potential targets.
