Leeds United may have won their first game of 2020 on Tuesday, but there were still plenty of red flags surrounding that performance.
Indeed, the Whites once again failed to keep the goals out as they’ve now conceded 16 in their last eight games.
It’s tough to pinpoint exactly why United’s defence has faltered as of late, but the performances of Kiko Casilla certainly haven’t helped.
Indeed, the goalkeeper conceded every shot Birmingham City had on target in late December, and he also made a crucial blunder in the Whites’ 2-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday.
Yet, despite these problems, the ‘keeper is set to remain as United’s number one.

What’s been said then?
Phil Hay was hosting a post-match Q&A session on The Athletic after the Whites’ 3-2 win against Millwall.
Understandably, questions were raised about Casilla’s current form, and the journalist stated that he still has Bielsa’s faith.
“He’s not in great form, it has to be said. Kudos for that take at the end to ease the pressure but he’s been off it for a little while I feel. Still seems to have Bielsa’s faith though,” Hay said.
Has to start repaying it
The Spaniard may have Bielsa’s faith for now, but he has to start repaying it.
Illan Meslier will be pining for a chance to play in the league as his only appearance for the Whites this term has been in the FA Cup against Arsenal.
Meslier was mightily impressive against the Gunners as he drew praise from both sets of supporters, and with Casilla faltering as of late there’s an argument to be made that the Frenchman should get a chance to start.
The Argentine has continued to show faith in the former Real Madrid man, but if he carries on underperforming it won’t stay that way forever.
In other news, Leeds may have downgraded by swapping Nketiah for Augustin.
